God is so good. I am so in awe of how he has provided. So, just to give y’all a little update, I have graduated high school (FINALLY) and I just got back from my senior trip where my parents and I went to Zion National Park and hiked the whole time. It has been a crazy couple of weeks with all of the senior events and the pressure to graduate. But, in the end, it was honestly not that bad. It just all felt right. Well…I have had senior-itis since freshman year. But God has definitely made it evident that I have greater things outside of high school. I have also been very stressed about fundraising. That big ole number of $15,800 has just been sounding extra large to me lately. But I have found that whatever I have been stressed and worried about, whenever I just give it all to God, he works it out. That is exactly how fundraising has been. I have completely handed it over to God and he has shown out. I am now less than $1,000 away from being fully fundraised. THAT IS CRAZY! And now the count down begins. It is less than 100 days until launch. I am just eagerly waiting until then. I would say that I was nervous but I really am not. I have prayed so much about the decision to go, so now I am just so excited. My church Cascade Hills made this song called “All I Need” and one of the lines in the bridge is, “When it feels like I’m stuck in the waiting, I run to you.” That is the perfect line in this season of waiting. So…now we wait!

  1. Oh the waiting, Weldon. It can be the toughest time. It can also be the most beautiful time where we just pull into God and hold onto him. You have been learning a lot while preparing for this adventure. Congrats on being fully or almost fully funded! God is so faithful! My husband, Chris, and I are your team’s coaches for this GAP journey. We will be meeting you on Thursday morning at training camp and hanging with you all until Monday morning. Believe me, you will hear quite a bit from us. Looking forward to it. God has great things in store for you Weldon!

  2. Wow, sounds like good times. Your fundraising story is awesome! God does show up, doesn’t he? Congrats on being so close to being fully supported!
